Session was held at the Diamond Jubilee Alliances Conference held September 2018.
Program Overview
Media and Journalism have brought us many new-era wonders, such as Netflix movies on demand and Spotify streaming music. But it has also damaged journalism- an institution critical to the US system- and contributed to divisive politics all over the world. In the session, we discuss the critical role of social media platforms in shaping public opinion and how we can avoid unintended consequences as these platform double down on Artificial Intelligence, Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
